Grubbel Trouble

Grubbel means "rumination" in Swedish. Being lost in thought, pondering.

It's something I have a tendency to do, so it's the name I settled on for this place: a place where I can collect my thoughts - figuratively and literally.

I have a lot of content I have written over the years about different roleplaying games, opinions about game design in general, various scenarios and games I've written, and general thoughts on a myriad of matters.

Who am I?

My name is Isak, I've been active in the tabletop RPG community for over half my life. I've also been working in the games industry for the past decade, mostly in marketing for mobile games (but don't hold it against me!).

You may know me from some of my previous blogs, like the Symbaroum fan blog Ordo Magica; or from my overbearing presence in communities like the Blades in the Dark subreddit, RPG-Talk, or the Delta Green Handlers Discord servers.

I have a small number of games and scenarios out there that I have written, and I'm looking to increase that number by publishing a number of things I have been working on for the past few years.

Building a community

This site is built on a service called Ghost.io, aimed at building engaged communities. I hope that my ramblings will be useful to some of you and that you will be interested in signing up to receive updates whenever I post them.

In the long run I also hope to build enough value that some of you will want to subscribe to help support me so that I can continue to invest my time in this hobby for everybody's benefit. I want to be a resource to the community but I can't do it alone.

For now, if you sign up you will simply be on the mailing list to receive notifications when I post new content. But I hope that by signing up you also want to join a growing community of people interested in discussing roleplaying games and the other things I want to rant about.
